She gives him advice and supports him despite their rivalry and enjoys his company to the point that she was saddened when he didn't visit her. She eventually considered him a rival after finding out his typing speed. She always welcomes him into her home and is generous about his use of her stuff. She eventually entered a competition with him and bet Eromanga. She was also able to befriend Sagiri, being one of the first people besides Masamune to be able to open up to her.Īt first, Elf didn't think too highly of Masamune though she quickly befriended him while he had a one sided rivalry against her. She was also willing to help Masamune find a job when he needed one and worked hard to help improve his writting skills. She also has a habit of calling herself "The Best-Selling Author" even after her books were no longer at the top. She also has many strange habits, which includes cosplay and naked piano playing, and will only add titles like "-sensei" to people she respects. While she could act lazy, she would secretly work hard when she finds something interesting and tries hard to keep her stuff seemingly magical. She was even able to think up plans to help Masamune improve his writting ability in a short amount of time. She was even able to figure out the reason for why Muramasa Senju was so obsessed with Masamune and knew the best ways to improve Masamune's skills as a writter. She is also extremely intelligent and perceptive, being able to figure out the location and situation about Eromanga and eventually her identity. She is generous, and can be open with others, especially her fans, though she arrogantly calls them 'slaves' or 'servants'. She looks down on other people, but is also able to acknowledge the skills and talents of others. She thinks highly of her skills but can honestly back it up with her novel sales, though she refuses to accept when she's wrong. Just making sure so no one thinks my A16 or my profiles are broken:Ī) While listening to stereo on Tidal e.g. ![]() So something seems to be off in the way Dolby Audio and the Smyth Realiser work together. the sound becomes much more artificial and unnatural. If I reduce it to 2 speakers - still Dolby Audio - already better and also better compared to the same version without Dolby on Tidal. ![]() The same is true for all the other Dolby Atmos tracks on Tidal. The same album on the Smyth Realiser A16 via the Firestick.Īs I am not getting any longer clear front localization it all sounds more like a typical headphone experience. I am also surprised that for example listening to Max Cooper Emergence on Tidal via my iPad to the Nuraphone (via Bluetooth) I also get Dolby Atmos and it is great. Quite contrary to my experiences with the Apple TV.īut I have to admit that I am a bit confused with what I am hearing. All the Netflix and Disney Plus content sounds amazing in 5.1 or Dolby Atmos.Īlso, Dolby Atmos with Tidal worked immediately. Probably by the source (that somehow recognises the A16 can not handle DoP).Ĭlick to expand.I can confirm that the Firestick works perfectly with the Smyth Realiser. If you are trying to do what I think you are trying to do using virtual speakers and it seems to work then you can safely assume that somewhere the "DSD over DoP" is converted to normal PCM. If this PCM was in fact not real PCM but containing DSD bits packed in the PCM format then the result of the SVS processing would be something like total random noise. The speaker virtualization is a result of digital signal processing applied to PCM. Are you sending "DSD over DoP" to the A16 and thinking you get "DSD over DoP" from the A16 coaxial output? The only scenario in which I see this working - DSD over DoP arriving at the DSD capable DAC after going through the A16 - is when you are not using virtual speakers but let the A16 pass on a stereo PCM stream (containing DoP) untouched (if this is possible at all, because you have to use the stereo downmix function, but maybe when only stereo is coming in and with the appropiate settings in the stereo mixdown submenu the net effect is indeed that the PCM is going out untouched so it could be possible). ![]() Click to expand. It is unclear to me what you are doing exactly. |
